Shoulder Dislocation
A dislocated shoulder occurs when the ball of the humorous (upper arm bone) is forced completely out of its normal position on the shoulder socket. It usually causes extreme pain and an inability to move the arm until it is relocated back into the socket.
Shoulder dislocations can occur as a result of a sudden trauma or from underlying shoulder joint instability. Most common cause of a dislocated shoulder in soccer, is when the shoulder is in a vulnerable position and is popped out at speed (commonly this is with the arm out to the side) – during a fall or tackle. |
